June SOAP: Peace dispels Fear
1. SCRIPTURES: Psalms 23
- King David in this Psalm was in a state of calm and peace even though he was potentially under unfavorable worrisome circumstances (ie: Loneliness, Enemy's attack...)
- The imagery portrayed was a sheep who had no fear knowing his shepherd was with him
- Peace doesn't mean the absence of fear and anxiety
- It's recognizing that the Prince of Peace Jesus is present with us in every situation that we have an abiding peace that is not dependent on external circumstances
Be lifted up in your bad day as you hear the Master's words for you today. Jesus is with you!
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid
